In the past 15 years Shuten and has done numerous restorations from one-off builds to famous historic rods and customs including Ed “Big Daddy” Roth’s Orbitron, an exact recreation tribute of Big Daddy’s Mysterion and Dan Wood’s Milk and Ice Trucks.

Galpin Auto sports not only has a full functional custom shop we have a full retail showroom stocked with all of the most recognizable hot rod and custom car brands including Moon Equipment, SoCal Speed Shop, Radir Wheels and Slicks, and Ford Racing equipment to name a few. For the kustom kulture enthusiast we also offer merchandise and apparel from the pioneers in hot rodding such as Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, George Barris, Gene Winfield, Robert Williams and Von Dutch. Galpin is also the home of one of the largest private collections of Ed Roth vehicles and kustom kulture memorabilia.

GAS Announces Supercar
A new era for Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) has arrived with the announcement of its top secret supercar project, the GTR-1, at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Beau Boeckmann, President of GAS announced the company is currently building a prototype of what the Ford GT would have looked like if Ford had continued production of the legendary supercar.
Built in the spirit of Carroll Shelby, making existing production cars faster and even higher performance, the GTR-1 is based off of Ford’s popular GT that was built from 2005 – 2006. The specially developed supercar will have almost 1000 horsepower and will be available with handmade aluminum or carbon fiber coachwork, upgraded drivetrain and suspension modifications and a bespoke interior tailored to the customer’s specifications.
Additional pictures, details and specs will be available closer to the GTR-1’s debut in early 2013.

The Beetle celebration continues
Galpin Auto Sports to Go All Out at 2012 SEMA Show
Galpin Auto Sports, the Authorized Shelby American Mod Shop known for its wild automotive creations, will be featuring several new cars at the upcoming SEMA Show this week. The same shop that brought us Mustangs like the Galpin Auto Sports Scythe and the 550-horsepower supercharged custom wide body Mustang, plan to break new ground this year.
Some new creations for the 2012 Show include a custom vintage 1966 Ford Bronco, built to handle the roughest off-road terrain and look good on the pavement as well. Then there’s the Galpin Gasser III, which follows the same vintage period-correct race style of Galpin Gassers I and II. The shop even created a custom Volkswagen Beetle Turbo.
Custom Beetles At SEMA
These include a beach-themed car developed with European Car Magazine, a low-riding “Chopped Top” Beetle from Galpin Auto Sports (GAS), and a pair of Beetles – one a 1956 model and the other from 2012 – developed by FMS Automotive.
